I like alternative/electronic Japanese music!
Currently listening to:
Track 1: Herzlos (E3-Memorial Remix by SITD)Sunday night outings, I RARELY RARELY do IF EVER! Because I have to work next day, and I need a day to myself to self-reflect on the happenings of the weekend. I was invited to go to a gig at Jive with three Japanese electronic acts (more like 2 and a DJ). $40 well worth spent no doubt! So the first act (DJ) was Sisen:
I personally loved what he was playing! Why? BECAUSE IT WAS FUCKING POWERNOISE! Something I’ve worked hard to have a place somewhere to play/perform that kind of stuff in this town, and to get a big crowd/interest was this guy coming from overseas to Adelaide to blurt it out at a venue and people go nuts. I was purely shitty because we’ve (RvM) spent a long time to have a venue to cater the music what a DJ like that bloke played as a monthly event. Nevertheless him having a Pocket Kaoss Pad had it’s benefits.
Next act was GPKISM;
I expected Goth rock, that it wasn’t. It was energetic classic/balladesque EBM! And energetic it was!
The headlining act was Aural Vampire as it was labelled as new-wave/dance. It was MUCH harder than that, and these folks were fucking amazing!
No doubt this has inspired me to work hard on an electronic/8bit/thrash/noise project duet with one of my best friends. Her and I plan to rock the fuck out of Adelaide one way or another, and make an image for Adelaide that there’s two zany fucked up individuals making noise and touring all over the country/world with our work. With enough training, I’ll be there to help her all the way with helping her make the music as well as contributing. Watch this space people!
And now it’s 12:48AM and I really need to sleep as much as I can so I can conserve the energy/nerve-rackingness I’ll be having all of this week (as well as with shit outside of work).
